5. Sara Ali Khan Movie - Atrangi Re

Sara Ali Khan has a penchant for versatility within her which was reflected enormously on-screen with Atrangi Re. Going for an unglamorous role, Sara Ali Khan portrayed the role of a simpleton with relatable problems ensuing in her life without caution. Sara played the role of Rinku who is forced to get married to Vishu played by Dhanush after running away. However, the situation twists further when her boyfriend Sajjad played by Akshay Kumar returns to their lives and unforeseen circumstances take place. Aanand L.Rai crafts an out-of-the-box love triangle with the story of Atrangi Re which is not reminiscent of the feel-good rom-coms Bollywood is known for. Sara Ali Khan is a natural as she played the role of a village girl who lost her parents and who no one seems to understand. Her antics fuel their anger and in a fit, Rinku becomes a runaway woman. Her easy onscreen chemistry with Dhanush who plays the role of a medical student lights up the screen. Vishu is soon to be engaged but has to be tight-lipped about his apparent forceful marriage. Akshay Kumar's brief cameo in the film is refreshing and the story unravels itself soon as hidden truths surface which reveals that Rinku is suffering from a mental disorder after the traumatic death of her parents and hence envisions scenarios that aren't real.
