Intoxicated man with weapons boards school bus in Boise, taken into custody
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — CBS2 has received information that an intoxicated adult male boarded a school bus with 46 students headed for North Jr. High just outside of downtown Boise Thursday morning.
Reports sent from the school district obtained by CBS2 indicate that the school bus driver contacted Durham Bus Company while en route and specified they believed an intoxicated adult was on board. Boise Police met the bus as it arrived at the school.
The same communications from the school district say that the individual was armed with a gun hidden in a backpack. Boise Police say that the man was searched when he was taken off the school bus during an interview with police officers, but the suspect attempted to flee. After a short foot pursuit, 19-year-old Tristiano Fragomeno of Meridian was taken into custody.
The Boise Police are investigating the incident. Fragomeno is facing charges of grand theft, possession of controlled substances, concealed carry of a weapon while intoxicated, possession of a firearm on school property, and resisting arrest.
CBS2 contacted the school district and Durham Bus Company for comment on the incident. This story will be updated if and when one is received.
