Sidhu Moosewala's Killers Killed After 4-Hour Encounter

Two killers of popular singer Sidhu Moosewala were killed in a four-hour encounter in Amritsar.

Two gangsters allegedly involved in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala murder were killed in the operation that went on for more than four hours and ended at 4 pm, as revealed by the Additional Director General of Police Pramod Ban.

The Punjab Police official Twitter handle also tweeted, ‘#SidhuMoosewala murder: #AGTF ADGP Promod Ban confirms the operation concluded successfully as both Manpreet Mannu & Jagroop Roopa, who killed #Moosewala were neutralized in a heavy exchange of fire. #Police also recovered an AK-47 along with heavy ammunition from the spot.

In this operation, three policemen and a journalist were also injured. The gangsters Hagroop Singh Rupa and Manpreet Singh, alias Manu Kusa were killed in the operation. According to the Police officials, they both died in a heavy exchange of fire. Roopa and Kusa hid in a building at Bhakna village near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar. Policemen wore bulletproof jackets and took the cover of a tractor and a trolley near the building. Two armored vehicles and some bullet-proof vehicles were also deployed.

ADGP Ban heads the Anti-Gangster Task Force of Punjab Police and he said an AK-47 and a pistol have been recovered from the gangsters. A bag has also been recovered and that will be examined by a forensic team.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann congratulated the Punjab Police.

Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29. Police had identified six shooters in Sidhu Moosewala’s murder and they had already taken three shooters Priyavrat Fauji, Kashish, and Ankit Sirsa into custody. It is believed that Kusa had fired at Moosewala with an AK-47 rifle.
