Selena Gomez is coming out of her shell in a big way these days.

When Selena and Justin Bieber broke up for the 475th time late last year, we figured they’d get back together yet again and that Selena would continue her efforts to convince the world that her douchey boo is not actually the world’s biggest D-bag.

Instead, she surprised us by cutting ties and starting a new relationship. Selena is dating Zedd these days, and the young couple seems to be moving rather quickly.

"I was 18 years old and it was my first love," Selena says. "The older I get, I’m guarding certain things more. When you’re young and you’re being told so many different things…It almost felt like all we had was each other…You live and you learn, you know?"
