Significant damage reported in Meridian structure fire
MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS) — A home, barn and detached garage received significant damage following a structure fire in Meridian.
Firefighters say they were called out to South Rolling Hills Drive just before noon Monday and found multiple structures on fire. Crews described it as a challenging fire.
“A lot of challenges today operationally with this fire," said Battalion chief Tyler Rountree. "Our firefighters performed very well considering everything that was going on at the scene.”
Crews from Meridian, Boise, Kuna, Ada County Paramedics and the Ada County Sheriff's Office all responded.
No injuries were reported. Two cats were rescued from the home.
Residents of the home are being assisted by the Meridian Fire Burnout Fund.
