Christmas tree permits for Boise National Forest on sale Friday

Beginning November 19, Christmas tree permits will be available to purchase from vendors and at Ranger District Offices. Christmas tree cutting is allowed between November 19 - December 25th.

Each Christmas tree permit allows up to 3 trees to be cut per family at $10 per tree. All purchased permits are for personal use and are only valid in the Boise National Forest.

Harvesting a Christmas tree can be a fun adventure, and long time tradition for many in Idaho, however, the USDA reminds people to plan for Winter travel and unplowed roads.
