Heres how Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone met for the first time

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is one of the most loved on-screen pair of Bollywood. They fell in love  during the shooting of their first film together Bachna Ae Haseeno.  In an old interview with a magazine, Deepika Padukone recalled her first meeting with Ranbir Kapoor. She said it was during the shoot of Om Shanti Om. Ranbir was shooting for Saawariya at that time and the two were sharing a common make-up artist. They exchanged numbers. After few days, Ranbir asked her out for lunch and he picked her up. She also said that they met frequently after that.

Talking about that date in the same interview,  Ranbir said that he still remembers Deepika’s look. He said that Deepika was wearing a white Ganji and white linen pants. She had her hair tied up in a bun. He also added that the first movie they watched together was Mr. Bean’s Holiday. 

However, they parted ways in 2009. Now they have both moved on and share a friendly equation. On the work front, they have been seen together in films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha. Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is dating Alia Bhatt while Deepika is happily married to Ranveer Singh.
